Here you can find information about the practical workshops that form the basis of the project. There will be five workshops, each mapping a particular non-verbal aspect of pain. Workshops are open to all sufferers of chronic pain and those who work with them. You don’t need to have a diagnosed disorder or ailment. Our focus is on the expression and communication of chronic pain through non-verbal means.
Workshops will include interactive presentations by experts in various modes of communication, practical exercises before and during the workshop and discussions throughout. Each workshop will conclude with a debriefing session to discuss whether and how it was successful. Workshops will be conducted so that activities are open to both pain sufferers and clinicians and other participants.
